Be careful yorkies are now considered the most stolen dogs. Everyone wants one and that makes them the number one stolen dog. I'm getting my two microchipped. |
It is true. Mine were microchipped right away, always wear collars and are never out of my sight. It's scary what people will do to get a cute dog. |
Mine is never out of my sight. I won't even let the grand kids walk her. |
Although Callie dosent look like a standard Yorkie ( she is bigger with floppy ears) and we live in the countryish area I have locks on both gates and we have a driveway alarm and I even thought about getting an alarm I saw for gates. You can never be to careful. |
I have just bought a new yorkie unfortunatly it was from a mill but he's so cute. i love this sitr |
New baby Oh, post some pics. Baby yorkies are cutest of all babe dogs in my opinion. Hahaha! |
I think vets should have to scan new patients for microchips because of the theft issues. |
Good post. Yorkies should never, ever, ever be left unattended outside. They should be picked up if somebody stops you on the street to talk. |
Customer I was picking my yorkies up from the groomers in petsmart. They were both on their leashes. I had jilly and my hubby had piper. Several customers were talking to us about the dogs. All of a sudden, a lady came up from behind me and scooped Jilly up. She was admiring her but it made me and the dog nervous. I held on to the leash and Jilly was looking at me like help! The lady was nicebutyou don't touch someone's dog without asking. |

Some people don't think. But I was acutely aware that she had my dog and she would have had a battle on her hands. Jilly and piper a very friendly. |

Vinnie would have bit her, Mini would have yelped and cried and Mia would have licked her to death...and I would have went batshi* crazy on her. arrrghhhh, so glad it all worked out. |

Dooney loves to people watch but does not like it when other people try to pet him, he just shys away. I have to watch him like a hawk since he's small and can be snatched in a second. |
I wish someone would explain this to my husband:rolleyes: He thinks I'm being dramatic when I constantly lecture to him about why Chevy needs his leash and why I became overly suspicious when the creepy guy upstairs asked TOO many questions about my baby. I hate when people ask how much I payed for him, where I got him from, and when I answer they :eek:and think I'm crazy for flying into another state for a dog. |
The thought freaks me out so much. Someone had her yorkie pup stolen not a mile away from my house back in May. She offered a $1000 reward but I don't think she ever got her pup Mia back. :( It was so sad seeing that ad posted day after day on the San Antonio craigslist offering the reward. |
My husband and I were walking our two pups in a park and there was one car in the parking lot besides ours. As we walked past the car I heard the man who was standing by the drivers door, ask if the young lady inside the car wanted a dog. He was eyeing our two dogs walking by when he asked her. I had no doubt that his intensions were to take our dogs if she wanted them. I was petrified and never so glad to get away from that park. You just never know what someone will do to get your pup. Please be careful and watchful when you are out with your pups. |

Ever since I got my Teasell. I know when someone comes up to us I put myself between the person and Teasell. She is the light in my life and I treat her that way. Protect yourself and your furbaby first ask questions after..., |
Scary stuff, Winston is never left out alone. Even though he is not the most social dog around and I doubt anyone would be able to catch him even if they had a chance and tried. I still always go outside with him, watching every move he makes. |
Im very paranoid with chester, he was chipped when he was neutered and he has his harness on all the time except when are sleeping |
