Morkie,4 mths. vomiting.... Hi all, First time here, My little Nikki,4 mth Morkie female, vomited twice this morning after I gave her a mini milk bone to eat. Also she threw up a dime yesterday.She seems very alert,gums are very pink. I,m refraining from water and food for 12 hours,just a bit nervous ,only had her 6 weeks and lover her very much. She threw up an actual DIME???? You might want to get her to a vet for an xray, sooner rather than later.....this Morkie is not an ATM machine and she should NOT be producing pocket change....she may have more down there, and she could have an intestinal blockage...that will kill her if you do not get it treated appropriately. Then, you are going to have to puppy proof her surroundings...no access to small objects she can ingest and either strangle on or end up needing surgery from an intestinal blockage.....also, you must be informed about what you have laying around within her reach that could poison her....these pups are like a 2 year old toddler....everything that can go into their mouths, will. |

It is real hard for you to look at the dog and judge if she is absorbing zinc or copper or even nickle from any coins that were swallowed....and as the coins are moved further and deeper into the intestinal tract, she may APPEAR to be doing "fine"....until probably around 2am, Sunday morning, when the intestine can become completely blocked....you not only can have intestinal obstruction, you can also have bowel eschemia, which can easily progress into a dead bowel......your REALLY need to have this dog seen by a vet to determine how many money she is trying to work thru her system....I would be worried to death if this was my dog....of course, I know what all can go wrong, and how fast it happens. You need to get her to the vet to make sure there is nothing else in her system that should not be. |

I find my dogs love a nice bit of roasted unseasoned chicken as reward but mostly they get what I call FISHEEZ. Dried anchovies. They love raspberries and blueberries too. All organic of course. The more natural the treat the better and you'll feel better about it too. I actually changed what I feed myself once I realized I was doing it for my dogs and still feeding myself processed corn and soy filled stuff. And it all comes with time and patience we learn as we go. |
