Only 3 more days and Dallas will be fixed He's almost a year and a half so I think I'm a little late, but I had to battle with my hubby over this. He's so opposed to it. It's actually really cute; he thinks Dallas is the best dog that ever lived and he wants to have Dallas babies. lol I'm not sure what he wants to do with those babies, since we're not breeders, we wouldn't be selling them. I guess we'd just start a yorkie farm. ;) But in the end, I won, and Dallas goes in first thing Monday morning. He has no idea what's coming but I'm super-nervous. I know it's the best thing -- We have Rory now and she's going to be so tiny (she still only weighs 2 lbs and is almost 17 weeks old), I'd be terrified of him getting her pregnant. Anyway, I just wanted to share with people who don't think I'm crazy for almost falling apart because my baby is having surgery. Anna (mommy to Dallas & Rory) |

Please let us know how Dallas does. I have a little one that turns 2 in November, and I still have not had him fixed. He's always been so tiny, still is, and its scares me to death that something horrible will happen! So no your not crazy, WE ALL ARE!!!! LOL! |
Our Yogi was neutered last Thursday, we were nervous wrecks! Only one of his 'you know what's' were descended so it was a little more complicated. Two little scars later and a cone on his head, he came home a little groggy but seemed ok. A couple days later and now he is back to his crazy self! Whoever said they calm down after this surgery doesn't know our sweet but still nutty Yogi! Good luck with yours! |
I'm having Duke and Daisy in for their neuter and spay on Wednesday. They will be 7 months old that same day. I'm having them groomed the day before and hopefully they will have much less hair. With the two of them they play quite rough and so their hair is always in a mess. Lol I think I'm going to go the baby onesie route as opposed to the cone of shame just for comforts sake. My major concern is how to keep them quiet afterwards especially if Duke recovers faster than Daisy but I guess I can only wait and see how that goes. It is certainly very nerve racking bringing the little ones in for any procedure and I know I will be pacing the house until I get the call that everything went perfectly. Its also great to know that so many of us here have puppies around the same age and we are all going through the same emotions. :) |
My baby just got spayed on Thursday. I was so nervous. I even took off work to be home with her. She was tired and sleepy on Friday. She was in so much pain, making little moaning noises. However, she is back to herself today. She wants to play and jump around. We have to keep close eyes on her. She didn't want to eat on Friday but ate like a piggy today. Potty is normal. Your baby will be ok. It is normal to be nervous. You and your baby will be in my prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. |

Dallas made it through just fine! I took him in yesterday morning and they let me go pick him up around 5. He was very happy to see his mommy. He was excited to be home... I had to lay down to get him to lay down. I was scared he'd hurt himself with all the jumping up and down on the furniture he was doing! But he hasn't even needed a pain pill today. He's just laying on the couch beside me and Rory Jayne, relaxing. I guess I'll be working from the couch today... I really don't want to disturb him! LOL |
