I just have it set on my phone calendar. |
I just put the date beside the Heartgard sticker on my Day Planner and then note the name of the medication(Heartgard), time given & initial it once he's taken it. I keep my yearly Day Planners so it's a record over the years of all of his doses going back to Dose #1 and the dates/times given. Long-term, consistent records like that can even be used in court cases as long as kept up regularly over time. |
Odd Ball on the 24th Well I'm the weird one... I give Bacon his HG and FL on the 24th of each month. The 24th was his first vet appointment so we have always stuck with that day... The 1st isn't too far away... Maybe I will transition to the 1st... Sounds like an easy date to remember ;) |
You can have an email sent to you from Heartgard to remind you. US.Merial.com : Pet Owners : Reminder Services. I'm usually good about it with the reminder, and then I mark the YT calendar to show I have given it to them. |
We are a first of the month taker also, I have a recurring appointment on my IPhone calendar and I get an email from Heartguard. I heard that Heartguard has an IPhone application now with a reminder. |
The first of every month. Doing it consistently on that date helps me remember to give it on time. |

Sophie gets her Heart Worm and Flea Tick meds on the 9th of every month. Every year we mark the calendar date for every month with a little red heart when we receive our new YT calendar and we do it the very first day it arrives. The bright red color is hard to miss  |

I give my on the 15th of each month. I take the stickers that come with the heartworm medicine and put them on my desk calender at work. |
