I agree. If one of mine didn't want to wear clothes I would just have to agree with their wishes. Unless it was really cold. I would still make them wear coats. I don't see anything wrong with either. If you personally wanted to get them to like clothes gradually. I would be happy you did it that way than to just shove in & forget about pups emotions. If even after a few tries the situation doesn't improve. Id just say your baby doesn't like clothes.!

My boys don't like clothes either. Its funny, they let me put them on them, but then they rub against anything they can to get it off. Dex shakes. I only put sweaters when it's cold and Pats jerseys for the games when I'm home! I let them do their thing and eventually they get over it and move even with it on.

Tibbe rubs himself against the furniture when he's got a sweater or any item of clothing on usually, with the exception of some Christmas togs that KiminMD sent him - a little hat and scarf. He wore those like a champ for a good while. Tibbe does have a little coat and zillions of sweaters but I only make him wear something to go outside if it's truly freezing - in the teens or less. It's warm in the house all the time even in the cold winter so he doesn't need anything to protect him from the cold really. And I never let him stay out in freezing weather long for fear his tiny toes or nose or ears will get frostbite or something. But until I get him outside, he's rubbing his body in the sweater or coat up against the furniture or wall! Little toot! Then he comes right to me as soon as he gets back inside and barks if I don't get his sweater/coat off immediately. Then he wallows for about five minutes and runs around like a wild man - so glad to be free.

Well I have to say my human kids also went for a period where they didn't like clothes either and proceeded to take them off and run around naked. If it was an okay situation for it I let them, if it was not they had to learn to wear them.So if your dog doesn't have to wear it then by all means let him run around free but if he or she needs them or you just want a couple pics then by all means do it and then reward them and then take off. I think dogs just like kids have to learn some things may not be what they want but they have to adapt. I agree to take it slow though. Maybe just a little Velcro thing to start with no arm/leg holes, then slowly work your way up..Jess didn't like them at first either so I gave up for a while. I just put a prisoner costume on her today and she was fine. Its amazing how they change over time. Intolerable things one month may mean nothing the next..hmmm..just like human kids:smile:

I don't know how much sodium is good or bad for our pups, but I see that there is 300Mg of sodium in a jar of chicken sticks. How many in a jar? I wonder if the puréed chicken (plain chicken in a jar) has as much? I like the idea of not having to cook Maggie's chicken breast,but the sodium is something I'd like to learn more about. Does anybody know?

The OP is feeding chicken sticks to her sick dog. I am suggesting she check if that is good or not. Might not be good long term.
