I'm in trouble now! Gina has been trying to get on the couch since we got her on July 4th, last week she managed to jump into my son's lap, but hasn't done it since. The way she has been trying to get up, is to put her back against on section and using her back legs to push, and her front to climb on to other section. I have a 3 piece sectional sofa. Today she did it, and boy was she proud of her self, she jumped back down just to do it again. Oh well it'll save my bad back for when she's full grown, since I don't have to lift her anymore. Gina is a little bigger than Megan was, Megan was 3.4lbs her whole life, Gina is on track for 4 1/2lbs. Well she wants to play fetch now, so I better get the tennis ball. Cheers Quad:aimeeyork |
Congrats. Terriers are notorious for exploring their own ways. Too cute she jumped down just to jump back up. Proud little thing. ! Adorable.! |
Just be careful there tiny legs are fagile |
My Oscar was quite proud of himself when he mastered jumping up on the sofa.:D |
Thankfully her legs are sturdier than my old girl's, but she loves to climb up the sofa, much better jumping up on it. She's been climbing up several times since her 1st time. Cheers Quad:aimeeyork |
Lol good job Gina. I love (& sometimes hate) how determined and crafty they are. Lola learned how to jump on my couch within 36 hours of coming home. She was 12.5 weeks and probably 2 pounds at the time. After that we put a cushion on the floor to help her get on & off. |
My suggestion get doggy steps now. You do not wanting them jumping off couches or beds. I have steps for the couches and beds. There are plenty of stories on this forum where little one's have broken their legs because of jumping off of couches |
They are on the list, right now she doesn't sleep on the bed, and isn't allowed up unless we are holding her. Thanks for the suggestion though. Cheers Quad:aimeeyork |
