I thought about it for a while before deciding to add my two cents' worth here. I'll be general and not organization-specific for obvious reasons here. There are organizations out there that are successful, globally, at the business of being a professional protest army in search for causes. Often, they have a hand in every pot. Often, they do not even ask for contributions, sounds great so far, huh? Their strength comes from their DATA MINING skills. This is acquired when well-intending people with a lot of love respond to the presentation of an emotion-provoking horror. Sometimes they ask for a lot of info, and at others, nothing - they just collect and SHARE your IEP address. There's a big business in data mining for potential "marks". My sister used to, shall we say, for an agency that "studies" these sorts of things. Just looking out for my fellow YT'rs!

P.S. : The stories behind some of these organizations read more like a script fir a Hollywood movie and sound too crazy to be true, but sometimes truth IS STRANGEr than fiction. If you are blessed with a leisure day, just do a little web-searching and read about these organizations. Great plot ideas there for any budding authors!

Short answer: petitions regarding the exploitation of animals.
Better answer: An international organization, based in NY, that is basically a "protesting" machine for just about any topic under the sun, with ties to (well-known) political groups. Guess I go against the grain on this one...

I wouldn't sign it as I'm not opposed to Craigslist or any other form of classified adverts. It's just a method of advertising.

I don't think Craigslist is the problem, but the idiots "rehoming" their pets for little or no money. It's no different than the idiots that put a sign in their yard "free kittens"....of course they may end up as snake food. Just like free dogs may end up as fighting bait.
