P.S. : The stories behind some of these organizations read more like a script fir a Hollywood movie and sound too crazy to be true, but sometimes truth IS STRANGEr than fiction. If you are blessed with a leisure day, just do a little web-searching and read about these organizations. Great plot ideas there for any budding authors! |
Disgusting.....done Share it on facebook as well. |
Can someone explain what this is as I can't get on FB.... |

Short answer: petitions regarding the exploitation of animals. Better answer: An international organization, based in NY, that is basically a "protesting" machine for just about any topic under the sun, with ties to (well-known) political groups. They take a very legitimate concern (i.e., exploitation of animals, on Craigslist) and use a variety of tools that include petitions. People who participate in these petitions and actions inadvertently share some of their personal information (such as identifying themselves as being interested in a "cause"). This information has $$$$ value. Sometimes it's simply sharing your computer's ID. Some people have no difficulties after signing a petition. Others suddenly get 'dirty' links (virus, worms, etc.), and others are flooded with spam. It's best to know the organization well before allowing our well-meaning hearts to lead us to e-sign stuff in the net. Blessings!!! |

Guess I go against the grain on this one... I wouldn't sign it as I'm not opposed to Craigslist or any other form of classified adverts. It's just a method of advertising. I don't think Craigslist is the problem, but the idiots "rehoming" their pets for little or no money. It's no different than the idiots that put a sign in their yard "free kittens"....of course they may end up as snake food. Just like free dogs may end up as fighting bait. |
