I need of a very good exercise pen Hey guys I'm looking for a good xpen to use for my puppy when he comes home I'm going in between the Midwest exercise pen with a door & the precision exercise pen has any body used any one of these ? I will be combining the xpen with a crate as well the brand of the crate is a small Midwest double door crate |
I have the white iris pet pen. I love it. I got two extra sides so it makes a big rectangle. I have the Midwest double door crate also. I am crate training Galen so the crate in inside the pen so I can close the door |
I have a Midwest exercise pen but mine doesn't have a door. I figured beings Piper is only 3 lbs it would just be easier to bend over and pick her up. I also have the Midwest double door crate and you can actually attach the pen to the crate to create a little house/yard effect. I'll be using it that way come winter time when it will be to yucky for her to go outside. The quality of the Midwest is awesome!! |
1 Attachment(s) I have the richell.. has its own bathroom and is expandable as the pup grows. It is really great |

That's what I have! |
I have a Mid West 24"x24" 8 panel folding pen, with a door, and the crate can be attached to the pen. By folding some of the panels together you can make is different sizes. I love it and have all panels folded out so Gina has plenty of room, and can leave her in there while I am gone. Cheers Quad:aimeeyork |
It's nice to have a nice secure Back Yard with a Doggy Door, where our little ones can run and romp when they want to. Not everyone can have that, and sometimes play areas in the house take up a lot of needed room. If that's the case, you might consider a "Run". Take a look at... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ctureid=122721 |

Gina hasn't tried to jump it, and she's jumped on the couch once so far, but she's not yet 5 months, and the couch is about 10 inches shorter than the pen. The trainers at PetSmart suggested this size, and I am very happy with it. I got lucky when I got mine, somebody took it out of the box to look at it and decided against it, too short for their dog, so I got 20% for it being an open box, nothing wrong with it, $64 instead of $80. okay I'm definitely going to get it I found it for 40 dollars |

I have this one as well and it's amazing !!!!!! I had a cheaper metal one before and when Gizmo would jump on the side, it would move all over the floor. This one is so amazing and I love the tray underneath it as well, because it protects my hardwood floors :-) I also bought the top you can put over it, so they can't climb out. I plan on trying the top this weekend when I go to my nephews wedding :-) it is so nice though and looks just like a nice piece of furniture in my living room. |
I have the Midwest, and it works great |
Oh I also wanted to add that one of the reasons I wanted something more stable, higher and had the top option was because when my house keeper started the vacuum, gizmo climbed right over the top it scared him so bad. Yorkies are great little climbers :-) he was only 11 weeks old and less than 2 lbs when he climbed out of the 24" high pen. |
I've been on Amazon for the past few weeks debating on a pen for my little guy. Thanks to this thread, I ordered the Midwest pen that is 30" high (it was cheaper than the 24" high one). |
