"Designer" blue born Yorkshire Terriers :-(
 

While looking for some photos of blue born Yorkies, I came across this website that is advertising blue borns as "designer" Yorkies. The photos are instructional, but I'm in shock that someone would sell them as premium designer dogs :(.

Well this just topped off my day.....just sad, not shocking, just sad....let me reiterate that people really do suc....through and through, half a brain and 0 conscience sums it all up....

I don´t mean to be rude, but the pups on that site arent the prettiest specimens of the breed that I´ve ever seen..those blue pups look odd to me.Would people really buy them even though they look sick? :confused:
First of all, the coat looks all wrong, and I don´t mean just the colour, but the length and texture alone would put me off right away, the flash of the camera is bouncing off of it, and it still doesnt have an ounce of shine at all, it´s the dullest coat on a puppy that I´ve ever seen.
Then they eyes look wrong too, it looks like they are drooping down to the side instead of the front and the shape of the head...I don´t know, I just don´t think anyone can look at those blue pups and think "oh yes, I´m going to spend top dollar on that puppy".

I mean, if this is the best they have (anyone wanting to sell a "product" online will only use the best pics) then what do the rest of them look like? :confused: I totally understand that accidents can happen and that blue pups will continue to pop up every now and again and they deserve loving homes, but to breed them on purpose seems crazy to me.
As a rule, what first draws people to the yorkshire terrier is their beautiful coat, the main thing they are famous for, so why would anyone want to breed puppies who´s coats are going to be awful right off the bat?? (and that´s just the tip of the iceberg!) I do not get it.

This is horrible. This whole site irritates the heck out of me. The pups look like they are not taken care of at all plus they have the look of having hydrocephalus. Then there is the writeup they have about only breeding to the standard and going for everything else except looks when they breed. Not one of the dogs shown on there is to the standard of their given breeds. Not to mention mixing the breeds. Shame on the owner of this site.

All I have to say is it makes me physically ill.

I see nothing but sadness in their eyes. It breaks my heart because those humans are just in it for money. I have to stop my imagination from running rampant about their living conditions. I literally feel sick.

When will people realize that "variety" is a bad thing in breeding purebreds, the whole idea of a purebred is a predictable look and behavior. We can't help these horrible breeders, but we can help education the buyer, please stay away from breeders who don't understand what "standard" means and the reasons for it. This particular breeder really wins the prize, and has hit a new low.

I don´t understand why anyone would want to purposely produce off standard yorkies, and the first thing ruined by doing this is the one thing that yorkies are actually famous for...their coats.Then there´s everything else you don´t see (health issues etc etc).

The same goes for the greeders who purposely produce "teacup yorkies". They go out of their way to produce bulging eyed, big headed yorkies who´s tounges don´t even fit in their heads, they throw the words "teacup" and "baby doll face" around a few times, and people throw their money at them because they fit in cute little designer totes that go with their shoes :doh:

Yep all that PLUS a 3.5 lb. female and males at 4.5 lbs. and 6 lbs. I looked at the first pup and thought how sad....

this horrible breeder should be locked up just because they say it's a 'teacup' yorkie they charge top dollar and don't get me started on possible living condition or the badly breed line these pups must come it's disgusting just disgusting

"Teacup" breeders (just as blue breeders etc etc) are more like mad scientists.They garantee tiny sizes (or a range of new colours), then they then tell you how tiny the parents are (vary rarely they weigh more than 4lbs) and then they show you pictures like this to sell their "experiments":

Now, I´m all for cute, and I´m all for yorkies, but puppies like this are neither.I honestly don´t know how people actually search for pups like this..why don´t they just buy a guinea pig?
You can see that something is off right away, no dog should look like they can barely lift the weight of their own head :/

1, 4, 8...I see "AKC" on several pages, but in the short time...before I felt too ILL to continue looking...I saw "CKC" and "ACA" but not a single "AKC" dog.

3...affordable ... seriously, they have got to be kidding with this one...I SAW those prices...and THOSE dogs!

5...congenital defects that are CONSIDERED life threatening...what EXACTLY does that mean, I wonder? Who's consideration of what LIFE THREATENING means? I see puppies that LOOK SICK already, to me, anyway!

6..."families policy"...the possessive form of "family" is family's..."families" is the plural form of "family" and means 'more than one family'...again...how many families are there?

7...help...AT NO CHARGE ... seriously, they have got to be kidding with this one...

9, 10, 11...with photos of "Cash," "Penny," and "Kaching" (ka-ching...the sound a cash register might make) has floppy ears but they breed to the standard set by the Parent Clubs"...huh??? How many Parent Clubs are there for Yorkies...I only know of ONE parent club for the USA...THE YTCA...and the YTCA standard says they should have "prick" ears...not floppy. OMG...what can they POSSIBLY expect for QUALITY with this breeding stock? Oh, and I am NOT A BREEDER< either...but...seriously? Plus, they have multiple males, but only one (1) bitch, poor thing is they DO breed that baby:

^Has anyone seen these two puppies that are avalable on that site? The first one looks like an old Ewok and the second one..well, it looks like it´s sick...mentally.

Yeah...and did you see the two "SOLD" Maltese puppies? The eyes...one clearly had an injury or something...plus they were just 'off'...not right. Standard my keister! Horrible...!

It looks like another front for a puppy mill. If only purebred breeding could be left to truly reputable professionals! People have no idea about what they are doing when they take on manipulating genes.:(
