Well, good and phooey! Good that he is going to a good home (with free vet care, no less!) I'm sure that even if you had some reservations in taking that one in, a part of you must still be a little heartbroken.
I can't imagine taking in abused ferrets, like you said you did in the past. I bet you did get bit fairly often! | It's good for Tiny, but we were deflated :(....but have decided on another Yorkie, so contacted Caleb's breeder and asked if she knew of a girl three years or younger (playmate for Caleb) or planned another litter. We'd have Caleb neutered (we planned to do it once he'd stopped growing). I only sent to email to the breeder 5 minutes ago, so will update, when we hear back.
oh you are right, I bled a lot to begin with, one wild girl bit me to the bone on one finger, only to let go and get another and then another....she used to be beat. She ended up such a softy. She came in pregnant, by the time she had her litter, she gently grabbed my finger and pulled it in the cage on top of her new litter, while she had a break. Made me cry, she learnt to trust us, never liked strangers, but loved our family. We kept her and her litter till they died of old age. Rescues are amazing. Most animals are so forgiving of humans, and often I prefer them, but don't tell hubby or the kids lol |
