Guidos new car seat! 1 Attachment(s) |
He looks pretty cool! |
It's much safer. Plus it doesn't activate the airbag on the passengers side since it is suspended. And he has his own seat belt. :) |
Wonderful. Enjoy. |
Love it, Bella has one similar to this one.... |
Looks perfect! Can I ask what kind it is? I'm looking for one for my new guy, haven't decided yet because of the size differences. |
I like it, he looks good & safe, too! I'm also interested in which one this is? I have the snoozer console one for Billi that stays in my car, but am looking at something like this for the truck since the snoozer wouldn't work very well there. Can Guido try and climb out of it? |
he looks very happy in his new carseat!! |

Awesome, thanks for the info! Do you think 2 small dogs - 3 & 4 lbs would fit ok, or would you go larger for that? Glad he likes his new carseat :) |
Thanks for the info. I will probably be purchasing this for Jackson so he can have his own. |

Car Seats I bought a Solvit Ex Large Tagalong Booster Seat-Deluxe for my two 5 lb. yorkies, but they never got a chance to use it, its still in the box, they never even sat in it. It has 2 safety leashes attached. I lost one of my little yorkies in March and the other yorkie don't like to ride in the car unless we're holding her now since she lost her sister she's just not herself. She is going to be 16 yrs old in Dec, if she makes it. She is blind, has kidney disease and alzheimers. She's doing ok, eating special food and comfortable. I just hesitated to do anything after one died, 13 yrs old, to a reaction to a rabies shot. I paid $55 but will take less. I also bought them the Jumbo Solvit solid brown car seat that raises them high, I put it together to see its size, and can't break it down to fit it back in the box, that's New never used also, still have the box. I just don't know what to do. It says it holds up to a 30 lb. dog, the other one holds up to a 25 lb. dog. I paid $65. for the Jumbo one will take less also. Now I only have one yorkie, and she will never ride in any car seat now that her sister is gone. Its such a challenge to care for senior blind dogs with kidney disease, I've been exhausted since one died. If anyone is interested please PM me. I'm in MA. don't want to ship out of U.S. |
Trinket has a similar one. She loves to go ride. Doesn`t even try to jump out, although it has a short strap. |

Guidos Car Seat Guido's car seat looks like a blue one I got for Taffy! I saw it at Pet Smart "on sale" for $36.00, but then, I saw 2 of the same car seats at TJMAXX for $25.00, so, I bought one there. It has a top strap that goes over the passenger seat's head rest, and then there is a strap at the bottom edge that snaps closed behind the passenger seat-back to keep Taffy's car seat from sliding from side to side if Taffy moves around in his car seat. I can easily raise how high up his car seat is by a sliding buckle on the strap that goes over the head rest. Taffy will look out the window for a while and sometimes curls up in his car seat for a nap. There also is a short leash attached to the back of this car seat that I can fasten to his "safety harness"...which has its metal ring on the dog's back. .you can also clip the car seat's leash to Taffy's collar, but my friend who has a dog said the safety harness that attaches by its ring behind the dog's back is safer. She told me if the car stops suddenly, the dog could get thrown forward and get his neck broken if the leash is attached to the regular dog collar! Oh, dear! The wider harness that goes around the chest and fastens on the dog's back will pull the dog's weight back evenly across his whole torso if he gets thrown forward, instead of just jerking his neck...which could break his neck! I had not thought about using a car harness until I saw my friend fastening her bigger dog onto her car's back seat. She has a long seat blanket and Tucker has a chest harness attached to a short leash fastened to a back seat belt. She explained she leaves that chest harness in the car and just puts it on Tucker when he rides in the car. When she stops the car, she unlocks the harness and fastens his regular leash to his dog collar and then, she just has him hop down out of the car on his leash! I found a wide, padded yellow chest-harness in a small size that I use on Taffy for his car seat. He can still move around with the car seat's leash fastened onto the ring on the back of the harness. I just unfasten the harness when we reach the park or wherever we're going, and I snap his regular leash onto his dog collar, and I lift him out and set him onto the ground...off we go! It just takes an extra few seconds to put on his padded chest harness, but I feel he is safer for having it on. It might save his life if he ever got thrown forward. You can spot these safety harnesses...they are not made with simple thin straps, the straps are thicker and some look padded! |
