2 year old yorkie stopped using potty pads the last few days my 2 year old yorkie stopped using her potty pad, shes been peeing whenever ,wherever she feels like it. she was fully trined on potty pads and hasn't had any accident since she was a baby, my 6 month old yorkie milo hasnt had an accident since he was 3 months, he's doing better than her, and hes just a baby!!!!. i make sure to change them all the time, i spend a fortune on them... what would cause a 2 year old yorkie fully potty pad trained to suddenly do this? i am puzzled !:confused::confused:anyone have any suggestions? - i did a search and the only thing that seemed to come up was regression in puppies, but she is an adult.... |
bladder stones, bladder infection |
oh ok so its not a training thing, didnt even think of that, thought she was maybe just rebelling.. with have to make a vet appointment asap then-thanks |
If you find no medical problem, the only thing I can think of, is maybe she heard a loud noise or something may have scared her, while she was going ? Maybe try placing it in a different area of the house, where its real quiet? I've had to do that with my cat box before, because I figured out the neighbor had gotten a new dog, and because their box was below a window, one of my cats got scared of that area :-) if ll checks out good t the vet, I would consider trying something like this, you never know, our fur babies are very sensitive and have much better senses then we do :-) hope it all works out and you are able to figure out what is going on xoxo |
I would definitely rule out medical issues and then go from there. If it isn't medical, I would confine her to an area until she is more consistent. Good luck! |
