If her time is up and she is leaving us, remember this: she is loved and she knows it, she had a wonderful life with you and will be leaving this world in your loving arms. You have given Maggie a full life with everything she ever needed or wanted. She loves you and you love her, cherish everyday she is still with you. |

The Way My daughter has this on her notebook and when I saw it I remembered your post about Maggie. I can't read it without crying, but I hope that it can help. Unfortunately I don't know who the author is. The Way In the darkness I turned to go; my last day's done, I'll miss you so. No time even to say goodbye or lick the tears spilling from your eyes. That's when I heard you call my name; I knew then I must ease your pain. Since I've no voice with which to speak, Its whispers in your dreams I'll make. Ease your heart and rest your mind, my time with you was the best of kind. I couldn't have asked for a better friend, we've shared our journey to the very end. There's one final thing you need to know, I'll whisper in your ear before I go... "I'm leaving first to find the way- I'll lead you there on your last day." |
OMGosh, Pink that poem is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing! It brought tears to my eyes remembering our beloved Angel who passed in February of this year. |

Having a pet for 12 years is a long time of laughter, love and even tears. I just recently had to put down my Simba of 17+ years. Kidney failure. Happened unexpectedly and I was not ready at all for that. But, like you I loved him with all my heart and cried many many tears and on occasion still cry. But, the main thing is the memories we've had with them here on earth. The pain will pass and the beauty of having her in your lives will remain forever in your memory. I don't know about other people but I truly believe that they do go to heaven and I choose to believe that I will see them again some day. You and your sweet baby will be in our prayers.:love: |
