Funny Story (Short)(well 2 stories) about Tinkerbell... I put Tink's food bowl on the floor and told her to go ahead and eat, it's good for her. DH asked what I had put in her food. I said pumpkin, and no sooner did the word come out of my mouth, she backed away from the bowl. As I watched her, I quickly added and Chicken, and she went right back to the bowl and ate her whole meal! DH kept saying he could not believe she just did that. I was just talking to him, and watching her out of the corner of my eye, giving no signals whatsoever. Two days ago Tink got a really cool toy in the Bark Box. It's a sonic squeaker toy that only she can hear (PTL). It's a blue whale shape, and I threw it for her. She can't see real well bc she refuses to keep her topknot neat/in, lol. Again with no guidance from me, she went to a pile of clean baby blankets and sniffed the blue one for a second, and then went on to search out her toy. Can dogs really see colors? She can! |
that is so funny how she knows the words "pumpkin" and "chicken" Smart! Do you think it was colors or the s pcent and shape of the whale that she can see? Very interesting. :) |

Haha! What a stinker.......a smart stinker!:p |
That is so very cool. These Yorkies are so smart. My husband and I started spelling things we didn't want Winston to hear. Yep...he outsmarted us both...he now knows what we're spelling. Can't win, can't beat him, too smart for his own good. |
It sounds like Tink is really smart. It is cute how our little fur babies know what is good for them or not. I think that is cute to back away from the word pumpkin.Lovely story. Susan |
They are so funny. She is a clever girl. I understand that dogs can see blue and yellow, not sure where I read that. |
Haha! We did that too, and ended up just spelling everything trying to confuse them. It worked for a while.... |

Tink is one smart girl. I would do the same thing lol |
Spelling out words did work for awhile, but he caught on quickly. Then we started using different words for certain things...yep, he figured that out too. Smart cookies they are... |
Too funny that she reacted to you saying pumpkin. I believe dogs do see color, although not as vividly as we do. Max has preferences. Quote:
