neutering qs hi buddy is back from his holidays and has been neutered now i was just wondering will this stop biting or humping buddy is generally good just wondering will being neutered calm him down |
It should calm him down. If you do see him humping you need to correct him- tell him No and pull him away from whatever he is humping. I personally think it is a nasty behavior and I don't think they should be allowed to do it.. it only teaches them it is ok. My friends Yorkie/Pom humps Peanut all the time, it drives me crazy. How old is he? He could be biting because he is still teething.. |
he is about 6mnths and has had his teeth pulled today they might have been what was making him chew but yesterday my dad was trying to cover up a hole buddy had been digging and he proberly bit him so i'm a little bit worried he rarly humps so that's ok |

Did not calm mine down, but just maturing calmed him down. He was neutered at 5 months but just now at 11 months began to calm down. It should help with humping, but that could also be a dominate thing. |
he's usually grand just when he gets super excited he starts nipping but the vet told us a firm no anda just a tap on the nose then ignore him any other tips to stop biting? |
I always used a very loud ouch noise when mine put their mouths on me and removed myself from them. If it persisted they were placed in time out in their crates for a few minutes. If you are consistent they can be trained that biting is just not allowed. |
