Nestle Purina now Owns Petfinder! I personally think this is horrible myself but I do openly admit to having an ax to grind against them. Just thought I would let others know. Purina purchases the largest online US pet adoption website. |
So angry! This is yet another chance to advertise to the uneducated. The animals on petfinder have already been through enough pain and suffering. Now there is a greater chance they will be subjected to being fed this poison. Ugh. I want to SCREAM!!! How could petfinder do that? :( So disappointed. |
I beg to disagree. I have yet to see solid proof that Purina is poisoning dogs. I have used their prescription diets for many years and they have saved my dogs' lives. |
That's horrible but do you want to know what is even more horrible!?! My vet said that Purina and Science Diet are the two best dog food companies out there. REALLY!?! Yep, I'm looking for a new vet!!! |

I think prescription food is a little different but cancer had been linked to Beneful dog food in fact my mom fed her dogs that there whole life and both got cancer. There definitely is proof the Waggin Train chicken jerky killed dogs hundreds of them and there is many vets to back that up. Personally I could never trust Purina again its all about money to them and I am not saying this because of any of there ingredients I am saying this because it took them years to pull the chicken jerky that vets where saying were killing dogs. I have nothing against Royal Canin or Science diet and if I had to I would feed there prescription diets but if it came to Purina I would try and find every way not to feed it. Luckily my dog has not had an issue and needed prescription food we tried it a few years ago when Callie was having allergy problems it was the hypoallergenic one but it made no difference and she was not much a of a fan. I will never spend another penny on Purina there is no excuse for letting hundreds of dogs die because of one of your products and doing nothing. |

Hehe, reading this disagreements here reminds of my mommy groups. I am very pro organic and non processed foods and some are not so much. I don't like purina at all. Ick. Hopefully some of the new pet adoptees know better :) |

My vet also said that corn was good for dogs. How could something that is a GMO be good for anything?? Humans can't digest corn but dogs can?? No, they just poop it all out!! This was very apparent with my big dog especially!!! There were times when we would run out of her food which was Blue Wilderness and had to use the yuck they sell at the local market and the difference was very eye popping!! Having a vet on staff means nothing to me, sorry but money can change lots of minds. JMHO!!! I know that food is a very controversial issue and I chose to feed my dog they same way I choose to feed me. I never question others choices for what they choose to eat or feed so I hope the same courtesy will be extended. ;) |
LOL! I keep trying to "like" your post. I'm not on fb! Duh! I totally agree with this. Quote:
