Oh no! He bit a human who had to go to the hospital? Related person? What were the circumstances of the 2 incidents? That information will help people advise you on how to handle this. What are the authorities saying? In my area, depending on the severity, the dog would have to be rehomed out of the area, or euthanized. :( |

Is this a Yorkie doing this biting? What were the circumstances these bites occured under? We need a lot more information before we can suggest interventions. Depending on your State, there are many reprocussions...ranging from fines that increase with each bite, to substantial increase in homeowners insurance, to euthansia. |

Couple of questions, how old is Ziggy? Is Ziggy neutered? How old is grandchild and how bad is the bite? |
I hate when dogs are punished for being dogs. It sounds like he did what any dog or human would have done if trapped in a corner…fight back! Not only should the dog have some training but the child should have some training on how to treat and respect the dog and not taunt him and trap him in a corner. I wonder if his bite over food was provoked as well. Not saying the dog was right, but was the human right? |
Dog Bite This behavior sounds like my Dalmatian. She is fear aggressive - if she feels trapped, she will attack. If she is left alone she is fine. |
How old is your dog and the grandchild? I think training and a muzzle will be necessary.. |
