Wow...that's really frustrating. I can't imagine how many opportunities they probably miss by not having an active email. When I rescued a dog a few months ago, everyone I contacted initially was by email. It was convenient since I was already online on a computer and I could sit and think about the questions I wanted to as, that I probably would have forgotten had I gotten on the phone. It also gave me the opportunity to tell the rescue about myself and my pack of animals. I am guessing I am not alone in this and a lot of people do the same thing when they find animals on Petfinder. When it comes to something like adopting, there are so many great dogs out there that you pretty much move on when you don't hear back from someone. I'd imagine that this happens a lot if their email isn't working. I guess that would explain why Bitzy and a few of their other dogs have been there for sooo long:( |
I tried to adopt a pup named Colston about a year ago on pet finder, and when I clicked on pet finder that theporkieyorkie had posted he was still there, they told me he had been adopted after I filled out paperwork. I may be looking at it wrong but seems fishy to me. |
