Dangerous Toys.... I know there are tons of toys that our babies shouldn't play with. One that I have found from personal experience is tennis balls! Parker chewed the fuzz off and ended up choking on it!!! He did the same thing with the strings on the rope bones, so we cut those off anytime we get a new one! Does anyone else have suggestions or a list of toys that are not a good idea to give to our pups? Or on the flip side... any toys that are great and SAFE for them to play with? I can't wait to see some of your responses!!!!!! :jump28ib: |
Gidget use to play with tennis balls, and we bought her some new ones for Christmas, but she doesn't even play with them now! She loves this plush bone that has leopard spots on it and fur! It squeaks and she takes it everywhere! :D We got it at petco! |
I think it all depends on the dog. My dogs have those fuzzy tennis balls and they dont chew the fuzz up on them. They have never tore up a toy either. |
Princess loves tennis balls, but she really loves the red kong toy! :D |
Nikko has gone through several tennis balls. He loves them but I always wind up dumping them because he tears the fuzz off too and I was always afraid he would choke on it. He loves anything plushy especially this canvas blue and white striped bone he has. I also realized he loves socks because he is always trying to steal mine from the hamper so I took a long mismatched one and made several knots in it. He absolutely adores it, and he will sit for hours happily chewing on it or begging me to play tug of war :) . |
I don't believe they even make a toy that doesn't require supervision. Some puppies require more supervision because they are aggressive chewers, while others don't tear up toys at all. |
Bailey does the same thing with tennis balls, and the little doggie ones, he will eat a hole in it. SO we dont get those anymore. He is rough and destroys alot of toys,, I did find the squeaky rubbery LATEX toys are pretty indestructible for him,,which is GOOD! |
