Does Your dog have facebook?
Rocky Superman did'nt inntil yesterday. Earlyer I thought it was a bit odd and strange for a dog to have facebook... Until I read a post in a Norwegian dog forum about dogs and facebook. Many people made a facebook page for their dog, so that they don't spam all their friends with silly dog stuff. Many of your facebook friends does'nt want to read about your dog many times a week (or daily!), these people thinks your dog stuff is spam.

So that's why i made a facebook page for my dog.

I'm going to post pictures and write about his dog life. He is participating in a dog show sept 7, puppy class. And we have already started to work on the apperance :-) His page is New and under Construction, so be a little patient with me :-) It will be written in both Norwegian and English.

What would you love to see in a dogs facebook page? Give me some ideas. I have thought of some things, but i would love to see what you'll like to see in such a page!

Rocky is super cute..
I have FB and post only pics of my pets but they do not have their own page.
I think you are right though , people do get sick of all the pics cause I don't get as much response to my posts as I did in the past..
Oh well...

Tessa has one and it's mostly pictures and special events in her timeline. I created it for my personal enjoyment much like an online scrapbook. It's also something for me to look back on as there are many firsts with Tessa and I want to document it using FB.

I'm glad you started one for Rocky, many of us have for our own pets. I treat her Facebook as if it's my own. In a sense, it pretty much is :p

ZoE doesn't have a FB page...but she probably should for the reason you mentioned above...lol My page has basically turned into the ZoE page with all the pics I post of her :eek:

But then again, if I didn't post ZoE stuff, I probably wouldn't post much at all. Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I just think it's strange to post the details of your day...and especially to advertise, hey I'll be gone on holiday this week a.k.a. my house is sitting empty if you'll like to help yourself to my tvs & electronics.. :confused:

That is exactly why my FB is only of my pets. I post NO personal info whatsoever...:)

My immediate family pretty much told me they were growing weary of hearing about my "doggie stuff" too. Honestly, I now rarely post on my personal FB. :D

I have a personal FB page and one for my yorkies. I was getting family that were tired of seeing pictures of my pups so I add a page just for my pups and records activities and post pictures daily. I only have a few friends but that is ok. I just enjoy taking pictures of my babies and watch them grow through this site.

Yeah, exactly! A personal scrapbook and for my own enjoyment. I think it's fun to give "likers" a glimps of my dogs life :-)

Now I'm all shades of confused!

I went & made ZoE a FB page, and then came back here & clicked your FB page link...and yours is a "like" page...no friend request kind. Did I make the wrong kind of page for ZoE? I thought she'd get some YT yorkie friends, as her friends.

you can only have 1 FB account per email , if you would want an additional page it has to be a "like" page... you probably know that already..

if you want Zoey to just have dog friends then maybe a "like" page would be better..

it is kind of confusing ..

I wanted a like page, so that i dont mix up Rocky Supermans page with my own. I believe (and hope) that a like page is easier to manage.
well... In time i will propably find out. Can you post Zoeys facebook link so that Rocky Superman and his mom can come visit?

I cleaned off my personal FB page and made a "Like" page for my dogs..
I think I like that much better..
I could not get the link to work on my signature line but their page
is called Oscar & Co.
We already visited your page..:)
