Dog TV Don't know if u have this channel, but Tucker (7lb pound Yorkie puppy) and Hogan (95lb) Lab) were playing on the couch when I turned it on. It was called night time stimulation, boy did they stop what they were doing and actually watch for 5-6 mins. Anybody else seen this channel? |
Yeah. That is so cool that your pups watch it. My boy will watch it depending on the noises and sounds. |
Never heard of it?? Who carries it? Bevo is my tv watcher |
What's the name of the network who carries it? I've never heard of it... sounds neat though |
I just saw it a couple days ago. Directv was advertising it as a free preview. The program that was on was supposed to be relaxing for your dog and showed other dogs sleeping and was playing music that I typically hear while getting a massage. It was bizarre. Thankfully Gwenni wasn't paying attention as she always tries to attack other dogs on the tv (wouldn't have been relaxing at all!). I would maybe consider it if I left the dogs alone in a tv room while I was at work, but they don't have free roam of the house while we're gone. |
It's on Direct TV channel #254 |
I signed up last night on DirecTV... not so sure about it yet, but we'll see! |
Our dogs in the past and current have actually sat and watched Animal Planet sometimes, but mostly on certain shows. Our old Jack Russell, Chloe, use to sit/lounge against the couch's armrest like a person (with an arm over it), her belly sticking out and on her side, while watching TV, lol. Every once in awhile they'll watch random stuff on TV. So we normally leave the TV either on Animal Planet or the cooking shows when we leave the house XD |
I watch a lot of animal planet when I do watch TV. If they have dogs on and they bark, cry, whimper, Cody will run over to the TV, sit and cock his head while watching lol,Then will run to me barking as if to say momma, momma,I want to play with him lol, so cute and funny. I sit on the sofa with my lap top, (I am not allowed to use my desktop, Cody gets jealous that computer is getting attention and not him lol) I play members video's if their pup is barking Cody who lays attached to my hip will jump up, gets all excited, I turn the lap top around for him to see what is making all that noise, he'll sit and watch the video, crying and barking, he wants that puppy. They are so silly and cute. |
We turn DogTV on if we are leaving the house, and they really seem to like it. |
When I first got Tibbe at age 9 mos., he'd never ever seen a TV and was just fascinated in it and watched almost any show for long periods of time and then learned it was a hollow experience as the characters on the screen never materialized or played with him or anything and began to lose his interest in watching a lot of TV. After I got Dog TV though, Tibbe watched it for a few days and then mostly lost interest unless a dog would bark, whine or something. Still though, no matter what channel I have on TV, if it shows the whole, overall body of a dog, animal or even a bird, he usually perks up and watches for a while. Occasionally, he'll key onto the close-up face of another animal, too, but hardly ever does on human faces. I'm going to rat on Tibbe though. He absolutely LOVES the cat shows on Animal Planet and goes crazy barking and growling when a cat will meow or hiss or jump across the screen. He watches the cat shows with interest though I don't usually watch them much except to watch his reactions. |

I'm starting to wish we had tv :) how cute! I did watch a you tube video of a pup this evening and I saw Lilah's ears peek several times. |
Hannah loves watching tv regardless of what's on. She perches on the back of the couch to watch. There are certain things she sees or hears that makes her stand up at times to watch and then she lays back down. So funny to watch her little head moving from side to side. I just took pictures of her watching this past week because it's just so darn cute! My other dogs could care less unless they hear a dog barking or a cat meowing then they run around the house barking like crazy. |
