A little terrier! My Yorkie is the first "terrier" I have ever owned --- and he certainly seem to have characteristics all his own - different from my other dogs. He is 14 weeks old - and not very big. He is much stronger willed - plays longer and harder - and totally wears my 21-pound dog out on a daily basis. He is more inquisitive and would like to be more destructive (but I have puppy-proofed my house). He is sassier - and stands up to me (all four pounds of him) without hesitation. He runs very very fast, and I have to corner him to have even a chance of catching him. When I feed him and my other dog - he runs to the other dog's dish, gobbles that down as fast as he can , and then returns to his own dish and eats it as fast as possible also (doesn't want to share a bite). And - my larger dog just stands there letting the puppy have it all. He loves to cuddle (at night) and run from me and play all day. He loves everyone (people and animals) and goes nuts when we have company. Of course, my other puppies did the same things ---but never to the extent this little guy does. Guess I have a "terrier." LOL I think that's why they are also called Yorkshire TERRORS :D you sound like you have all yorkie there girl ! |
I know exactly what you mean! Yorkies have a great energy about them! I love it! :D |
LOL!!! They seam to have as much as my Dane pup who is a yr now, so between the two of them they are still 2 peas in a pod and I swear they cant wear each other out. Lucky for me they play with each other. |
I did a ton of research on the breed before getting Trace. I can say I thought I knew everything, but what I didn't expect was the personality ;) |
Someone got me hooked on calling them 'Terrorists' |
Wow,, very well said.. DO YOU HAVE MY DOG? That is all SO him.. cuddlebug at night,, wont come to ya in the day.. UNLESS HE wants to. SELFISH.. Loveable, friendly, not afraid of anything or anyone,, of ANY DOG. FEISTY. rough, strong.. I could go on forever, but I loved your interpretation. |

Some other wording I use differently: Strong willed - I say stubborn! :D Inquisitive - I say nosey! :D Sassy - Back talking! :D |
Cali was like that too. Now at 6 months she is settling down more each day. Still has her moments but somedays I worry that she's sick because ashe just want to cuddle, wheeas a couple of weeks ago she was a wild woman! |

Oh my god I think you have my dog as well, I say chester come and he looks at me like are you talking to me. I rattle his nutro treat bag and he comes a running. I go to bed at nite or watch tv and he is mr cuddles, he scratches at me meaning, I want to go under the blanket. I love this little terreroist more than life it self, I dont know what my life would be without him. I have never liked little dogs, but that has all changed, more personality and love in a small package. |
