Post Neutering E-Collar Issues Willie was neutered yesterday. We were told that the stitches were inside but that he still needs to wear a come for 7-10 days. Willie cannot seem to find a comfortable spot for him to stay. He lays down and then two minutes later, he's up again. He seems exhausted but he hasn't taken a nap since yesterday morning. If the stitches are inside, does he still need the cone??? Please help! He seems so uncomfortable. |
I don't know how big you little one is but, when I got my baby spayed I already knew that the cone wouldn't work. What members suggested to me was that I buy a couple baby onsies. U put them on backwards so that it snaps around their tail. It keeps them away from it. It worked wonders for me. Hope this helps! |

are awesome. "Mom to hotrod" sells them here she is wonderful and quick and they were a godsend for me. |
I put my boy in a onesie, cut out a spot for his tail. Just unbuttoned it to take him to potty every couple hours. Bought two so had a clean one in case if accident. |

good luck |
Cooper used the Kissecollar and I loved it is made of fabric, so he was able to get comfy from the get go. The vet and his assistant were so impressed with the collar, that they asked me where I purchased it. |
Onesies saved mine from that horrid collar that was twice her size! We kept it on her till we got home after spaying, but she would have never survived with it on 24/7. With it on, she couldn't reach her dishes to eat or drink! I've heard the fabric collars are wonderful. Maybe you could get one for your pup, 1 day rush shipping! |
Galen did not have a collar. I asked was he getting one. They said no unless I really think he needs one. They said to give them a call the next day if I felt he needed it. He was actually good and didn't need it. |

I doubt it but if your baby's snout is bit longer than your average yorkie, I think onsies would work better. Magnus was like that and I had to use both the plastic cone and the inflateable collar. I wish I did more research or thought of the onies... |
Neither of my pups needed a cone. I was able to stay at home with them at watch them as they healed. Neither of them licked their incision more than once. I would take it off so he can get comfy, but just keep an eye on him :) |
