dogsitting I need some advice.... I have a 1 year and 3 months old yorkie, trained on pads. Of course he has accidents (our fault). Since last Thursday (a week ago), we are dog sitting for some friends, taking care of their 6 months old westie. She is trained to go outside. We thought it was a good idea, this way our Chewie can learn to go outside too. So we take them outside every 3 hours, and except for the first day (when we waited for more than 3 hours to take her outside) the westie didn't had any accidents until yesterday. Yesterday she didn't want to poop in the morning (like she always does) but she pooped in the house twice in the afternoon, after she was outside. Today the same, we went outside in the morning, she peed, and she started pulling me towards the house. So we went back inside and I started preparing breakfast. 15 minutes later I saw she pooped inside :(. She refuses to eat her food, but she likes the food I feed Chewie, and since she tolerates well these changes, I thought there is no harm as long as she eats... Can someone tel me how should I proceed? Should I crate her? I am going to be "killed" if she starts doing he business in the house, the owner is very strict about cleanliness in her house ... |
Crating unless supervised, closely may be the best idea. I'm thinking her area of exposure needs to be severely limited due to this back step it looks like she's taking. Sounds like a good idea to me. Gook luck!! |
I would definitely crate her unless you can watch her. Take her out frequently and hopefully this will solve the problem. |
