eye watering Hi all! Hope everyone is doing well. We've noticed the last week or so that Bailey's right eye seems to be watering. The left eye is fine. We've tried to do some research but we haven't found anything concrete. I know we should take him to the vet and we will. I just wondered if anyone had this type of thing happen with their little furry friend. Thanks, Ron |
He probably has something in the eye that is irritating it. I would see the vet ASAP before the problem gets worse. Is the white of the eye irritated at all? Is he holding it closed, winking, or behaving any differently? Max went through some eye problems. He had corneal ulcers in both eyes. I thought he was okay until one of his eyes started watering a lot. It turned out that the previous irritation and meds had caused a tiny hair to grow underneath his lid. The hair was a new irritation and scratching the cornea. He had to have it removed with laser surgery (which isn't as bad as it sounds). I am now an expert of being able to find tiny stray hairs in the eye and corneal ulcers. :( Best wishes for your little one. |
Thanks for the reply. He doesn't complain about it at all. We just noticed last week that it seems to tear just on that side. We certainly will be headed to the vet. |
Let us know what the vet concludes ok? Yeah, sounds like it is definitely irritated by something, whether it is a hair or an ulcer. |
Mia's eyes water a lot when she gets hair in them. She's fine again as soon as I put the stray hairs back in her top knot. I hope that's all it is for Bailey. |
