Yorkie body temp at the vet? I took Magnus/Zoey in for their follow up for their kennel cough yesterday and the vet cleared them as I expected. The only thing that bothers me is Zoey's temperature. As far as I can remember, the few times we go to the vet she had a high temp. But they only said in passing "oh.. she has a bit of a high temp.." and that was it. None of the vets mention any concerns. Zoey does get stressed out when we go to the vet. Or if she's held by people she doesn't know. Could stress be causing her temp to go up? Any other day, she seems fine so I don't know if this is something I should be concerned with... I'd appreciate any feedback... |

Do you remember what her temp was? A dog's normal temp falls between 100-102. |

Thought it'd be best to ask the vet that seen her so I called. LOL Figured it's better than stressing myself with worry when all I had to do was simply call. I asked for her temperature history. They don't keep record unless it's abnormal so they only had recorded the last two visits. The one from last week was 103 and yesterday was 103.3. I spoke with the vet and she said it was very likely from stress. Even mentioned how nervous Zoey seemed during the check up. Considering she wasn't well when I took her last week + stress of being at the vet probably made it worse. In any case, I think I'm going to buy a doggie temp thermometer. Any recommendation? |

My Dexter is consistently at 102. He just runs hot I guess. I hope Zoey is feeling good though! |

My vet said there temp can run a little high when they are stressed. |
