Does your Yorkie like the pet carrier ? I am contemplating getting a pet carrier - a soft sided one , and I was wondering how your yorkies react to being in one ? |
I think it depends on the dog - Biddy hates it, Tucker loves it...sorry I guess I'm no help!! |
Rocky loves his. He sticks head out the side to see what is going on. |
Wosie loves hers! 1 Attachment(s) This is what I use to carry Wosie around. I have two other carriers, but this is by far her favorite. It is for use up to 10 pounds. She can stick her head out, or can be all the way inside with the top secured. It has screening on the sides so it has great airflow, and she can see out when she is all the way in. It has a pocket in the front for treats and leash, and a pad inside that can zip out and be washed as needed. I got it at Petsmart, and I think it cost $25. I like it very much because it is hands-free. Also, when she is inside, no one can see her, so I pretty much take her everywhere. It's great! Good luck with your search! :p |

That's so cute! |
Jewels likes hers but its a little small for her. I saw one in the Petedge catalog I might order. |
I haven't used one with Gidget, but I think she would love it! I have definitely been looking into getting one though! Good luck on finding one for your baby! :D |
Nope! I spent a lot on a carrier for my little guy and he refuses to stay in it! I think it just depends on their personality. |
I wouldn't say that Laila loves her carrier, but she certainly doesn't mind. I haven't found the 'perfect' carrier yet, but I have 2. The Juicy Couture carrier I have is really cute, but it isn't the most comfortable because it has a zipper lid on top. It squishes her sometimes so I got an open carrier. She likes that, it's less constricting. I really think the perfect carriers are the ones with the U shape cut out on one side with a closed top. Then they can comfortably hang their heads out but they are still secure. |
Gus love love loves his carrier. He hears the keys and run inside. It's so sad when we are going somewhere he can't, it's not very often but there are times we can't. He will just stay in the bag till we walk out the door with the saddest look on his face. |
I have the Juicy Couture also. I just don't like how the side does not stay zipped up, but Rocky likes to stick his head out. I think he is getting to big for it now though. |
Rambo likes his travel carrier alot. I will open the door and will play and chill out in there sometimes. But he knows that when it is time to go to bed he goes to his crate. |
My Teddy doesn't like it. He always tries to jump out of them when we put him in. I don't think mine likes to be confine to a small area. I think when he goes out with us, he likes to "explore" things around him. But I think carriers are a good idea in places where you need to hide or conceal your yorkie. |
I recently got a new pet carrier from Shana at Tinkerbell's Closet and I love it so much and so does Maddie! I just did a thread on Products and reviews with pictures and a link. Here's that thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26631 I have used carriers for Maddie since she was a pup, so she got used to it at a young age and I think she feels secure in her carrier. |
Does anyone use the front-type carrier for around the house? Does it get in the way? I have a couple of totally, totally spoiled brats and when they are particularily needy, I hold them. A carrier would be so much better than the broken-arm sling I use now.. The ones where their head and legs stick out the front don't look too comfy for them. Are they?? |
