DocMartin's well written post reminds me to ask... ...about cleaning up those stains? Is there a Vacuam cleaner with water injection? What else? Spray and scrub? (Naww, I'd use the little guy's hide for that one!):D Spray some stuff on the stain, let it set and get the Shop Vac to pick it up? |
I have one of these and I absolutely love it. BISSELL SpotBotŪ Pet 33N8-A | Parts & Reviews | Portable Deep Cleaner |

I use a mix of dish soap and peroxide (test your rug first to make sure color doesn't fade). I soak the stained spot in that mix and then a rub baking soda in and let it set until it dries. I then vacuum up. Any left over baking soda not picked up by vacuum, I use shampooer on. It neutralizes the odor and doesn't leave a chemical or perfume smell behind. |
I also have the Spot Bot, it is a lifesaver (take it from the lady who has a Yorkie that it took 1.5 years to train). |
