Reasons I (sometimes) like my dog more than my child lol Just thought I'd lighten the mood lol 1) I never have to worry about her leaving the toilet seat up 2) She's not better at video games than I am (my son is 5 and can already beat me) Aaah I remember the days of "Duckhunt" 3) I don't feel obligated to share my food with her 4) It was way easier to train her use the restroom/pee (have you ever tried to teach a boy how to pee standing up??????) 5) She doesn't ask me questions about things I don't want to answer at his age ("Mommy where did I come from?") The HORROR!!!! 6) She doesn't bring frogs in the house to keep as a pet and expects me to feed it( I do not do bugs or reptiles y'all) 7) She doesn't practice wrestling moves on me when I least expect it 8) I don't have to worry about her moving out, going to college and getting married(bringing home the dreaded daughter in law!!!!!) I'm gonna get gray hairs from thinking about that one and I'm only 25 hehehe |

When my daughter was 2 1/2, I put her in Princess panties and told her not to pee on Cinderella. She's used the toilet ever since. That training didn't work so well with Lucy; Lucy MAY bring "something" back into the house -- if I let her. Although it may not be living so I wouldn't have to feed it. Lucy DOES practice wrestling-type moves on me - particularly when I'm in bed just about to fall into sleep & she comes bounding up the pet steps & leaps straight into my soft belly! In my case, my daughter said she's taking Lucy with HER when she goes to college, gets married and/or moves out. Oh well. Have a great day! |

10) I don't have to worry that they will participate in all legal activities when they turn 21.....my oldest just turned 21. I am not sleeping well at night anymore. He got married at 19. He knows everything so fortunately I do not need to provide any advice for him.:mad: 11) They do things on command. Pee, sit, stay. Fetch....this would have been a good one to teach the human babies. |

No trying to think of interesting food to tempt them it's just Kibble kibble and more kibble with the occasional treat Dont need to iron his clothes Don't need to change his sheets every weekend' Dont have to make sandwiches for school every day The list goes on. Nobody told me how hard it is to bring up kids compared to dogs |

11) I did use the one word commands for my 6 kids. I figured it worked for the dogs and "sit" actually saved atleast two of their lives at one time. Mina does talk back,demand to play,be picked up and go out. I do iron her clothes and I do fix little girl hair everyday. But what she gives me in return far surpasses my kids and they know it. Mina has a tshirt that says "favorite child" my kids response to it was "I knew it!!". |
