Royal Canin Saw this on Facebook and thought I would share it because I know a lot of people here feed Royal Canin Four Paws: Pet food maker Royal Canin sponsoring bear-baiting |
That's sickens me to see a bear treated like that. They're among the most spectacular animals I have ever been fortunate enough to see in the wild; any time I go hiking and see one I consider myself so lucky. That makes my blood boil seeing such a magnificent creature tortured like that for the entertainment of a few morons. If I ever saw that with my own eyes live I can promise my response would not be pretty. |
Bumping |
So, they sponsored a dog event, didn't know about the bear-baiting also occurring at the event and when they learned of it, they pulled all sponsorship? |
Like I say, watch out for the agenda....."Four Paws" is an animal RIGHTS organization....there is a huge difference in "Animal rights" and "animal welfare"....The agenda of animal rights activist is to eventually outlaw all pet ownership, as this is "clearly against an animals right's". They are also trying to irradicate all meat production farms, ie, raising cattle, hogs, chickens, etc for the production of meat, as it is "obviously not what the animals would consider in their best interest." I do NOT support animal RIGHTS activists...these are the same nuts that were lobbying to get lawyers appointed to represent animals in HUMAN COURTS to sue their owners for anything the animals would consider an infringement on their rights!!!!!!! I am sure they would love nothing more than to be able to financially ruin one of the best and largest and most respected dog food production facilities in existance. I am all for Animal Welfare causes, where animal cruelty charges would be investigated and anyone found guilty would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We need more bite in the laws governing animal cruelty, not some radical fringe activists, with their OWN vegan agenda, putting animals with their lawyers, into the court system in this country! Did they drop their sponsorship when it came to light about the bear baiting being conducted at the dog show? Since it is even illegal in the Ukraine, I am sure it was not heavily promoted.....and when they found out it was going on, they pulled out. |
This is a misleading gotcha type article. Royal Canin's involvement in this dog show (with the illegal bear baiting on the side) amounted to a banner, some logo tape, and a couple of prizes. |
Glad to read that Royal Canin had nothing to do w/this...how horrific, I never knew something like this existed.:( Humans:rolleyes: |

I just saw the article and shared it I have no hate toward anything well except the people doing that awful thing! |
Oh, I didn't want it to sound like I was blaming Royal Canin. My pup and my breeder both love their puppy formula and it's what I feed her. But the people doing this to that poor bear frankly deserve the same as the bear is getting. What's really sad is if you rescued that bear he'd probably still have to be put down for interaction with humans. :( |
Absolutely....horrific treatment for the bear....I hope the people that did this were arrested and face charges.......although, the Ukraine? Dont know how strong their laws against brutality to animals are. |

The thought of a dog without a human is just really sad. I have never seen a wild or stray dog who looked like he enjoyed his life. Dogs were created by man, from wolves, to be his companion and hunting partner. Denying a dog a human companion seems like true animal cruelty to me. They understand us and crave our companionship more than any other species out there, as we have been training and breeding them to do for maybe 100,000 years now. |
