Getting another Yorkie with the "Queen"? Of course its inevitable that I will get another yorkie, eventually. Just need to wait til the time is right. My Yorkie, Turbie, has been the only dog since she was one. Shes also the queen of the house, the alpha female, and VERY jealous of me. Shes a good dog, just a typical terrier, and I cant imagine how she would be when shes an old lady :D Shes five now. I know its silly, but I asked a Pet Physic how Turbie felt about another dog.... She said not to do it. Im just paranoid that she would be mad at me. After my BFs mom got a dog, Turbie ignores her like the plague when she used to love her. She very stern with puppies of all ages who dont respect her role, and has never shown a big interest in playing with doggies. We always joked around about getting her a dog friendly kitten to be her playmate :D I was just curious if anyone else has brought in another Yorkie after youve spoiled your first Yorkie rotten? How did it go? |
We don't have our second yorkie yet, we get her after the first! So I will have to let ya know then! :p I am hoping Gidget will accept her! I am sure there will be some ppl on here with some good advice! |
Well, I am interested in hearing some of the responses to this, as my 2 year old yorkie female is not nice to other dogs. She has had labradors cowering on the ground. I want another dog, a small yorkie (she is 9 lbs) but I am afraid that she will hurt it. I think eventually she will play with it. My sister in law has a daschund, and they recently got a chihuahua. He was very mean to it for about 3 months, and avoided it like the plague, now they play together very well. Good luck, and I say don't listen to the psychic. :D |
I had a very similar situation. Biddy was the queen and we spoiled her rotten. Biddy was NOT pleased when we brought Tucker home. She ran the house and that was that. It took some time for her to get used to him (we had to make sure to give her lots and lots of attention), but eventually they got along. They play together all the time now and I am so glad we got him. I do wish they would be more loving together - I wish they would curl up together and snuggle, but they don't. They do love each other though and that's what's important. |
