Wouldn't it be great if some philanthropist could fund some public service announcements and billboards and Facebook the idea.

Fashionistas here could make ribbons and vests for us to use and tell us about them on the Fashion Forum?.

Great Idea! I should put one on Rosco, he's getting old and he gets too much attention when he's out and is now really annoyed at people taking his picture so he barely likes anyone.

Thanks for sharing this Jeanie, I think it's a wonderful idea! The more the word gets out there about the Yellow Dog Project and the meaning behind it, hopefully it will become common knowledge to most people. ;)
I was just telling my coworkers about the yellow ribbon just last weekend. I'm taking Yazmin to the Cleveland Pet Expo in September and I'm going to make sure she's wearing a yellow ribbon. It's not that she doesn't like people, I just don't want her handled by strangers all day.

Lol it must be the name. My Lola does the same thing.

It's even worse when she sees a kid, she wiggles like crazy and air swims to get to them (I'm holding her).
She also wants to play with all the dogs she meets.

Excellent concept! I have never heard of this before, but I will now be more vigilant on my walks and at the park. I've never heard of the red ribbon on horses, either!

I sure wish it could become a widely-recognized symbol of everyday life and people would respect the yellow ribbon and give room to dogs that need it.

I think this is a great idea. I shared it on mine and Galen's Facebook pages. If we all share this and get our friends to share maybe it will become the norm.

I love this idea of a yellow ribbon. I do hope the word is spread about it. The more people that know about it the better off they would be. The dogs would be safe and children would understand to give the dogs room and to leave them alone. Would be less children bit if the parents informed their kids about the yellow ribbon.

LOVE this idea!!!

I am babysitting my ex foster Pearl this week and will tell her new Mom about this. Pearl is elderly ex breeder who had a not so good life until she was rescued. She is sweet as anything but you have to move slow around her or else she shuts down. That is hard for a lot of people to do when they see a cute fluffy white dog.
