I have NO desire to be part of this site. I am saving my energy and time to actually rescue dogs that need help! Sad to see Tiki go, but I have another one coming. I wish more of you would redirect your energy to do something to actually help these dogs.

Rescue mom said her piece after finding out what was being said here and I'm still confused but it seems to have worked out. I'm truly sorry if I completely misjudged either OP or rescue, but unless the dog were being neglected very badly in more ways than those mentioned, why not give it back or get Animal Control involved?

Anyway, thank you Donna for calling and I think helping getting the dog back to the lady. And thank you to the rescue for all the work you do to help dogs and people like the OP.

But anyway, such is the nature of YorkieTalk. We often don't have much to go on, usually believe credible-sounding members' desperate posts for help and err on their side much of the time until and if we hear another credible narrative laying out the other side or sides. All members are free to post their points of view on any subject here based on the knowledge we have at the time.

This is one of the many reasons why I have such great respect for you. I'm sure this brings tremendous comfort to the people who selflessly have to give up their pups. I can't ever imagine being in that position, but I know for some, it is done because they can not properly care for a pup. I'm sure you see so many people that just discard their pup when he gets inconvenient for them, but for some it is a selfless act of love or a necessity beyond their control.
