New bossy little boy 1 Attachment(s) I had been looking into getting another puppy for months now and about a week ago found my little boy. He is the cutest little thing! He was 10 weeks old when I picked him up last week. I named him Axel. :D I knew my 3 and a half year old girl Sakura would love to have a playmate at home. She loves meeting and playing with other dogs. She gets to come to work with me and plays with all the dogs there. But this little boy is giving her a hard time. She is a very submissive dog, usually, and I have discovered he is not. She does get to spend all day with me at work until he receives all his shots then he too will be coming. And now Axel is doing everything in his power to drive Sakura nuts. She won't go on any of her dog beds in the house or play with her toys anymore. She merely comes to me to get him to leave her alone. I try to let her figure out how to deal with him but she refuses to do anything other than fussing at him a little and running away. Any advice would be so helpful. Sakura is the first dog I have had. And I am trying to boost her confidence in dealing with Axel. She does get fed first and when I give treats, same thing. Any help with straightening out a bossy little boy would be greatly appreciated also. And here is my little Axel. And my new computer refuses to turn the pic up. |
Grats! he's a cutie! Only advice I have is watch them when they're together. Try to let them work out who the top dog is. Once they get that established, they should be ok with each other. Try to play with both of them, do turn taking. that could also help. |
