How can people be so cruel?
 
So.. My fiance was just on the highway and in the median between the 2 highways he saw a puppy. It was tied up. He turned around to go save it. Someone had tied it up BETWEEN the 2 highways.. There was a leash with a choke collar on him. The choke collar was on so tight it was bleeding. He picked it up and is bringing it to the vet for them to evaluate the puppy and make sure he is okay. I have no idea how long he has been out there and why no one would of stopped sooner to help him! Today it is 90 degrees and humid out and he had no food or water. He was scared to death :(. The vet there already fell in love with him and wants to adopt him. I'm sick to my stomach over it. Seriously how can people be so cruel!?!? :confused:

OMG, that is a horrible thing for someone to do. Thank goodness your fiance saved him. How old and what kind of puppy was it? I am so glad the vet is willing to adopt the pup.

We think hes about 8 months old and hes a mix it seems :(. Its just sickening. My fiance gave him some water right away and luckily he did drink some.

I am glad too! Luckily hes a huge animal lover like me :D.
I wish I could find the person that did this and tie them up out there in the 90 degree humid weather and see how they like it.

Over and over...people are cruel, they are horrible...I had one of these pups before, thrown out of a car window down the burm...we named him Gus....

It really is sad and horrible but we found someone who is going to adopt him :D.

That's terrible just terrible that poor pup I can not imagine how scared he was. This is why I like dogs more then people ugh.

Bless you both for rescuing that puppy. Some people in this world have a hard heart. They are minus emotions or compassion. They do not feel for other animals or people. They fill their minds with trash and violence and act out on it. It is a sad way to be. We are here on this earth to love like Jesus came here and did. To care for one another. We Yorkie lovers are very precious people. We know the love a dog can bring and how awesome they are. That's why we are heartbroken when one precious dog is treated cruelly. They will reap what they sow.

Horrible just horrible. That poor baby, I can only imagine how scared and confused he must of been. So very glad that your DH was there and did what so many others were unwilling to do and chose to save this dogs life. What a special man you have there.

I wonder if the highway has cameras installed like most do and if you reported it if they could see who was responsible to tying him up and leaving him there to die.

Yes I was wondering that also. The cops and animal control are both aware of what happened so they are investigating it. The puppy is at the vet right now getting checked out. They think he will be just fine and the vet taking care of him has completely fallen in love with him and has decided to adopt him :). I am so glad he was there at that moment to save the little guy. He will now have a much better life.

brilliant, the wheel turns it may turn slowly but it turns! I know why I prefer animals to people:mad::mad:

Oh what an awful story!! I'm so happy your finance saved that poor baby. I wonder if there were cameras in the area that might have picked up the license plate? Of. Course, then you have to assume the police would get involved. UGH just makes me sick!!! There just isn't an end to animal cruelty is there??? And this person will probably have another dog in under 6 months. Sickening...just sickening!!!

I dont understand either :(. Thank you :). Animals are just so loving you can leave them for hours and come back and they are so happy to see you. They are helpless loving little creatures. I just dont get it...

well from tied up on a highway to finding a home with a vet no less. I think you should call your local paper and maybe they would do a story on it. May flush out the monsters that did that. Try the patriot ledger or something. They are always doing little stories like that.

Is it possible the puppy could of escaped from his home with a collar and leash attached and then got hung up in the middle of the highway? Perhaps someone came along and saw the pup in the middle of the road and they could not take the pup so they tied him up so he would not get ran over? I just can't image anyone doing it intentionally.

Well if the leash was intentionally tied up and his collar was intentionally on his neck so tight he couldnt breathe well and it was all bloody.. It was one of those leashes you can stick into the ground and thats where he was. :(

That poor baby. Thank God for people like your fiance. He is a hero. How great that the vet is going to adopt him, he deserves to live the rest of his life in a loving home.
