Why?
 
Why does Bentley come running (and I mean running) to attack my face and lick EVERYTIME he finish eating his kibble? Is he trying to say thank you? His breath right after eating is not fun!:mad:

I don't know, I think he is happy...Vinnie does this a couple times a day...I'd like to believe he just loves me!!! He gets uber excited like he hasn't seen me all day...out of the clear blue sky and boom...I kinda like it! After eating? I will see if it happens after he eats!

Hahaha he uses the doggie stairs. Yeah he does it out of the blue sometimes. But everytime after he eats if he can reach me lol ... And I free feed him so I don't know why he gets so happy! It's not like he was starving!

I agree, it's very cute! But I was wondering why lol

:yelrotflm I think he must be super happy that his little tummy is full and wants to say "Thanks Mom for the great meal!":D

Tibbe always rubs his beard clean and comes to lick me after he eats, particularly after his breakfast. Then he wallows around on the couch, floor or bed for a good long time and will usually then settle down, usually for a nap if he's eaten very early but sometimes wants to go right into a play session. I know there are many different reasons for a dog to lick you but I swear this happy licking after mealtime seems to be out of gratitude! Dogs are so in tune and in love with food and the very act of eating seems to thrill them beyond much else! Tibbe really does act so happy after he eats.

Pebbles does the same after breakfast, she rolls and wiggles around on the floor and then it's either nap or playtime - she just seems so happy!:)

Don't you love the wet-bearded kisses, especially in the summer with the AC on and suddenly you are being smothered with a very wet-beard kisses dripping on your chest and legs in shorts!

Mine do the same thing. And like Max above they love to come lick me in the face with their wet beards. ;)
