bored 7 year old female yorkie our Yorkie has always seamed really bored. She always did her business in the house & slept most of the day until my wife came home & she would perk up. Well I was cleaning up the carport and ran across some baby mice & put them into a tall trash can until I could free them at the park. she found them and liked to scratch on the base of the can & make them scramble. I let them go but she still is anxious to go outside and check on the trash can whenever she can. I trapped a bad squirrel a week ago and she found it so I let it go. she watched it run up a tree and still thinks its up there. She sleeps much less and in anxious to go outside to check the empty trap I guess hoping there will be another squirrel in it. She does her business outside now and stays outside by herself for a long time which she never has before. when shes ready to come back in she will bark at the door. I'm really proud of her with her new interest and she seems much happier all around. Just wondering if your yorkie is bored too? |
This is just so funny!! I would guess you might be right. She's been bored. LOL Good to know she found something to keep her busy till mommy gets home. So...this begs the question...why aren't you playing with her non-stop during the day?? TeeHee! |
Hi and welcome to Yorkie Talk. Lol, your girl sounds like she needs a playmate. Yorkies are very inquisitive and they have great memories. I am glad she is doing better with her new found interests. Does she like to play with toys? |
Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Maybe she needs some play dates with other dogs to get her perked up. Do you walk her and let her explore new things? I have 4 dogs, and I wouldn't say they are bored. There is always plenty going on here, but also a lot of sleeping too. Yes, the do sleep a lot, and maybe that is a good thing otherwise it would be chaos. |
