Puppy Needs a Haircut! >:-[ 1 Attachment(s) Ugh I've been dreading the day I have to take Bentley to a groomer. I've heard so many horror stories I don't want to. What should I look for in a groomer? Any tips? I just cut his hair around the eyes because he couldn't even see! Anyone has pictures of a puppy cut that I can take to show the groomer how I want him to look? Thanks! |
Here is a good link to bookmark. It shows different styles (there are even more not listed, but these are the most requested/used). Definitely take a pic of what you want with you. That is the NUMBER ONE piece of advice. :) Yorkie Hair Styles and Hair Cuts, Examples |

I took Mitsi one time, I asked for a puppy cut and She looked adorable. I'm a hairdresser so I cut Her hair myself now which is easier. But Make sure to take a photo, some groomers do not know what a puppy cut is supposed to look like. Also try to read some online reviews of the groomer Your looking into, and ask to look around their grooming office. If they don't let You then don't use them. ( : |

When is the appropriate time? My puppy is 4 months and her hair over her eyes and face is long. I have been wondering when is the right age to take her to the groomer? My Nina is only 1.9 lbs and I am worried about how they will groom her being so small and hyper sometimes. I know she is too young but would like to have a ballpark idea of when. Anyone? |

I just take Lilly to Petsmart. There are always a ton of dogs in there and you can watch them groom if you want. Lilly always looks great, smells great, and is very happy to go to the girl who grooms her every time. |
