Saddest Story Ever... |
Very sad... But why would you stay at a hotel where dogs aren't allowed and then leave them in the car? |

Tragic, all the way around. So much was preventable...both about the dogs and about the owner.:( |
Tragic. She was probably so ill she wasn't thinking straight. Such a sad story for all involved :( Usually my reaction would be so strong against this woman for checking into a hotel where dogs aren't allow, but maybe she was too ill to keep driving around looking for one that did, and too ill to think about sneaking her dogs in anyway. Today, I took my still sick pup ZoE to our regular vet (after an ER trip late Monday night) and I fainted in the exam room while I was holding ZoE on a high exam table. Thankfully, the vet & tech saw me and the vet grabbed ZoE as the tech slipped a chair under me as I went down. I was so embarrassed, and felt horrible that there I am supposed to be caring for Zo and wasn't able to. All I kept thinking was what if I'd fainted while no one else was in the room and she'd stepped off that slippery stainless steel high exam table. |
That poor, poor woman and her little dogs. Wonder why she drove to a hotel and not a cafe or gas station and asked them to call 911 for EMT's? Maybe she was so sick she just wasn't thinking well enough. Such a sad story and everyone seemed to drop the ball. |

Thanks. Just my two-cents. And at least I got to go through my first post. Thanks again. Great forum. Bravo Yorkies! |
Why are her family suing CBS Baltimore? Who are they and how could they be responsible for the woman's death? Apologies if I've got it wrong....I live in the UK so not familiar with a few American societies/abbreviations etc  Perhaps the guilt over her dogs hastened her end if she was already ill? I lost my whippet in a tragic accident in 2008 and even now I still blame myself :( How are you now Zoe? Had you had anything to eat? I've often felt a bit wobbly when I've been too busy to eat! Never fainted though *touch wood* |

But there are always two sides to each story. Very sad for all involved. |
Wow they should have sent her to the emergency room. That is such a sad case |
that is so sad |

I agree with you that the guilt and anguish over the death of her dog probably hastened her death. :( I am very sorry for your loss of your whippet in tragic circumstances. |

Dear Lord may the rest in peace :hands: Kazzy I hope and pray you and Zoe are doing better :hands: |
This is such a sad story. Despite the fact she was ill though, she was still responisble for this dog's death. She had the presence of mind to get a hotel room, so there is no way she could convince me she wasn't thinking at all...she was. |
Oh I agree, I'm sure she had a plan, until she passed out. Then, let's arrest her first and put her on 1 MILLION dollars bail (never that high in this state, even for the guy who threw the GF's yorkie off the balcony (intentional)). Then she gets medical attention, but is released, and falls into a coma, and dies 2 weeks later. The Judge remarks (re: the woman's death), when her 92 year old Mother went to court to clear her daughter of the charges, 'That's one way to avoid proscecution', not realizing the woman's family was in the room! If she knew she was going to pass out (become unconscious), I don't think she would have been driving. She did not realize how sick she was, must have been feeling bad, got the room and may have intended on going back to see her Mother, or have her pups boarded. IDK. Her Mom stated she loved her dogs dearly... leaving them in the car to die was not an intentional act, it was an unfortunate accident due to the woman being ill and passing out. I would think that an employee of the hotel would have noticed the dogs were in the car... 20 hours, 3 shifts and lunch/breaks... someone had to have seen them... even another guest in the hotel. IDK... maybe more facts will surface in the near future. |
