Doll face puppy pictures For those with doll faced adults, can you post pictures of your Yorkies from 12 weeks and up. I see a female yorkie I like but unsure if she's doll faced. |
I don't know what a doll faced adult looks like, I am not sure if it is a real term and I also don't think you can fully tell what any wee pup will turn out like. Can you post a picture of what you mean as a doll face adult? |

Some maybe a tad shorter than others, but no breeder I know deliberately breeds for doll faced! As the muzzle length shortens, anatomically speaking the passageways up through the nose canal shortens, not to mention you have just shortened the jaw! Where do all those teeth fit into? And unless you widen the jaw you are going to have a lot of bite problems. If you widen the jaw through your breeding program, then you change the whole head shape.... |

I see all kinds of faces in the show ring and some do have the shorter muzzles. Some people would consider them doll faces but that is just not a term you are suppose use in the show world. I know of one top winning bitch that had a beautiful face with a shorter muzzle. To me a doll face is just a dog with a little short muzzle with the correct muzzle placement. Many yorkies have to long of a muzzle with a down faced look and that just is not a pretty as a dog with a proper head. |

You can get a doll faced yorkie without paying a doll faced price by finding a good breeder and looking for a pup with a short muzzle. My Jewels has a short muzzle and I just paid $900 for her she wasnt advertised doll faced she just had those features |
