advice needed please Charlie has always hated having his topknot put in but has put up with it and he doesn't take it out , but we have just acquired a bichon frise who insists on pulling on it so pulling it out and its getting badly knotted , I am constantly putting it back in and its pulling his hair out, if he didn't hate it so much it wouldn't be so bad , so I am considering cutting it off , I would like some input from those of you who have tried this , will I be sorry , will his hair get in his eyes ,any advice would be appreciated as I don't want to make a mistake  |
My first male was very petite and he had a topknot. It just went with his little structure and personality. Now my current male, Fritz, is a feisty, athletic, 7 pounder. I keep him pretty short with a visor (no topknot). It fits him perfectly and it is very easy to deal with. |
I had to cut Ruby's once and it grew back so its not that big of deal, it grows back. Maybe once it grows back your new pup will have out grown that ornery stage. On the other hand you could just put a smaller pony right between they eyes about an inch above the eye line. I use those tiny black rubber bands plus its less likely to get pulled out and is looks cute. |
No top knots for little men! |
:D Haha! |
