I just purchased the black light there were no instructions with it. When using it should I be looking for a certain color if there is urine on my carpet?

You'll know it if you see it. If I remember right, when I did it, it showed up like a flouresent yellow/green kinda color..

It should look like kind of a greenish/yellow fluorescent color under black light.

Need I remind anyone that "light/color temperature" is not good for our eyes, and if not good for us, then definitely not good for our animals. So you might do your inspections with the Dogs somewhere else. Possibly even consider some Protective Glasses/Goggles if you use BL much.

Yeah, I would definitely inspect with the animals else where..they get in the way anyhow. hehe

But for real..it doesn't take that long to do this so shouldn't be too awful on our eyes. Also, a lot of laser tag places have blacklights..is this hurting the kids? I never knew it was bad for the eyes, to be honest. Did a lot of blacklights in the 70s :D

Used the black light after Dolly went to bed and the house was dark did not see any spots at all so proud of her

Make sure to look under furniture as well and small corners, these little ones find great hiding places

Blacklights now are safer than they used to be, but you should still avoid looking directly into the light--holding the light facing away from you, and looking for the reflected light from the pee stains is fine. And keep your pets out of the room when you are using it, because they don't know any better.

With my black light, the room must be dark. Those pee marks will glow real nice for you! ;-) You are likely to have many surprises waiting for your viewing pleasure.

I know that Black Light has a very high UV content, though I admit I am not very updated on any "new" approach. I'd still be cautious.

Ahhhh yes, the 70's :thumbup: :D
