Angus loves the Vet. He so excited to see all his friends.. Kaiah has a nervous breakdown and pees all over herself and everything.. Oscar is not crazy about it but not to the point where he gets stressed.. |
Aw poor Jackson! :( :( That sounds so terrible. Jack...I don't know...I think he loves to see everyone at the vet and he loves his doctor but the whole time there, he whimpers non-stop. Such a cry baby lol. I think he has a bit of anxiety when a lot of people are around because he has a huge affinity for people and playing and believes everyone on Earth wants to play with him lol. So maybe he cries because he is just so happy so many people are around...I don't know. I'm working on his reaction to people though lol. |
Mine love going! We have had many vets and they love them all. |
Minnie loved going to our vet. I think part of it is our vet lives on some beautiful country property and Minnie loved looking out the car window at the cows on the property next to his, but I think she also really liked him because she always ended up feeling a lot better when we took her in. Even when she was feeling good and it was just a routine stop to pick up some Heartguard or another bottle of flea shampoo she still liked going. When Minnie got really sick when her kidneys gave out she was in such horrible shape and could barely lift her head even, but when she saw she was at Dr Jaksik's she really perked up and it was such a great thing for us to see (he nursed her back to relative health over the next two nights, and we had a few amazing days with her back home before she passed). However, she absolutely would not stand still for weighing. It was the one thing she was so badly behaved with at the vet. If he wanted to take blood, take her temperature, give her a shot, or anything like that Minnie was pretty cooperative. But for some reason she hated being weighed even though her girlish figure wasn't bad. :) |
I think Minnie really loved our vet's two assistants too, and was excited to see them. |
Princess & Turbo HATES it.:( They pant & literally shake so much that they give me a message loll. Turbo got his ear hair pulled couple of months ago (bc he won't let me do it @ home) & he fought the vet techs so much that he expressed his anal glands on them! He also had cuts in his ear, so I know how badly he fought them. Princess had needles poking her to draw blood & urine every time we went to the vet, so I can understand her fear. Last time they went to get tested for heartworms & Turbo got so stressed out, he had diarrhea. |
Poor Jackson. :( My boys love going to the vet -- they will do anything for an outing. Silly boys. Max didn't like being left there for surgery :(, and I'm sure Teddy won't either when he has a dental. Max made a sad face when I handed him over, but immediately started kissing and brown nosing the tech. :p |
My 3 have no problem with going to the Vet. |
Chachi had mange when he was younger and had to go to the vet for dips and since then he doesnt like to be there. When we get there with him in his travel crate he wont come out so we have to turn his crate vertical and make him fall out |
Good and BAD ! My Adult Female Becca and Junior Male Ichabod are pretty calm, BUT... My Adult Male Sneakers is an absolute TERROR. He won't let any of the Nurses or Doctors come close to me, and he's big enough to enforce it. I have to tie his Leash off on the Table, and walk away before he calms down and lets the Staff approach him. I've never had a Dog which was as protective for me as he is. Actually, it was the Vet who got me to do it that way. Seems that many Dogs who are aggressive like that, will settle down, when there is some distance between them and their Providers/owners. |
Ellie usually just wants me to hold her. She wiggles like crazy. If she is hanging out with me for the day she doesn't mind it at all (except when I kennel her - she whines unless is Ry is with her). She is totally chill in the doctor's office. She likes to watch the goings on. Gets grumpy when her vet plays with (um, antagonizes?) her. lol. She will look at her tech friends for a pet. She is very in tune though. I carried her to the dental suite last week while a pup was under anesthesia. It was her turn next. Must have sensed it bc she started shaking. |
Bella doesn't mind the vet, except when she has to be put on the cold metal examination table. Bringing a blanket or towel along would probably help with that. Other than that, Bella allows the vet and vet techs to get away with a lot more things (like nail clipping and sanitary shaving) than I can get away with. |
Daisy whines as soon as we pull in but once we get in there she is fine. Pixie is the opposite she is good until we get in there then she is a neurotic mess. She whines and shakes and wants on my lap then wants down runs around in circles. She tries to jump off the table....she makes me a nervous wreck. |

The highlighted describes ZoE, when she hears me run water in the bathtub and then walk out of the bathroom to find her. But, she loves going to the vet. The receptionists, techs & vet all make a fuss over her and she can\'t get enough of it. Her vet is acceptionally great. He doesn\'t rush anything, and spends time petting her before ever examining her. Did Jackson ever have a bad experience? Bad blood draw or nail cut too short, any anything happen there that makes him fearful? |
Henri is a fighter. He LOVES ridding in the car, but if I start to take the route to the vets he goes nuts! He fights me all the way into the office and he fights the vet too, they are really nice to him and all but my guess is that he hasn\'t forgotten when the nice people gave him his shots:rolleyes: Thankfully he hasn\'t bitten me or the vet |
