Sooo fun!!! 2 of mine are docked, 1 has her tail. It really is adorable! Plus, I love watching it wag :D !! It's amazing how much more you can tell about how they're feeling by watching their full tail.

My baby is coming home next month. His tail has been docked, but tails would be great!! I have had frenchies for years and they are born virtually tailless, so a tail would be a real treat.

You can do what I did...get your NEXT one with a full tail ;)

I'm so glad you like undocked tails too. I think they are adorable. I love my Allie's full tail!

She's a beauty and her long fan tail is gorgeous. I keep the hair long on Buster's docked tail. I call it his happy tail, I just love to watch it wag! Yorkie tails short or long are so adorable.

Good girl (((HUGS))) TBH docking her tail at the same time as her spay would be classed as an amputation :eek: I'm surprised a vet would even suggest that :( We've had a docking ban for a few years now here in the UK and it's lovely seeing all manner of breeds with their tails :wub: Before then I thought I would have to get in touch with a breeder BEFORE her litter was born, say w wanted an undocked bitch pup and pay the full price there and then as a guarantee we definitely WOULD have the pup :) We would have quite happily have done that but now its not an issue :thumbup:
I have had docked yorkies & jack russells in the past and their stumpy waggly tails ARE cute....but not as cute as a longer tail :wub:

I was thinking the same... we aske our vet about dew claws when my dd's dog was 8 weeks (before we brought him home even) and he wouldn't do it.

I like them both ways...I love Remy's nub. My dd's dog's tail is not dock- I know the breeder fairly well and I think she lost a couples of pups when they had their tails docked and she just doesn't do it anymore.

My Frankie & Lola recently had pups & in searching reason why we dock their precious tails & remove their dewclaws I choose to not do either. Personally I think it should be illegal. Their tails have so much emotion in them & the good Lord gave them dewclaws for a reason.

I love either!!! I can also tell my boys emotions by the wiggling of their stubs! But a full tail would be too cute on them!

:) That's good to hear...I can not understand why the US among other countries still allow tail docking, especially when research shows the pup can indeed feel the pain, I find it really sad. I know that when Molly had her babies even tho its illegal in the UK, I thought why would someone for no reason add the worry of a stump possibly becoming infected to all the regular worries of raising a litter. I love all my babies swishy tails and I'm sure you and the new owner(s) of your babies will too :)

Breny has a little girl around 12 weeks right now for sale that has an undocked tail. Might inquire.
