How do you find a good groomer? Martini is about ready for a haircut, but living in a small rural area, I don't know what to even know where to begin? |
I found mine by asking my neighbors whose dogs had great looking haircuts. Some people ask at their vet's office. Good Luck! |
I did the trial and error method. I found 1 on my 3rd try. She owns a yorkie herself and does a great job with Cinders! |
I would ask at my vets office also |
Here are the things I did to find a groomer for Henri: 1. Ask around, ask neighbors with dogs, your vet, or just anyone you meet with a well groomed dog 2. Research, google groomers in our area and then when you have a list of names, search for reviews on the places. Google is your best friend right now 3. Visit, make a list of potential groomers and visit their shops (without your dog), ask to see where the dogs are groomed (if they don't let you see, that is a red flag) and ask some questions about things like are they experienced with grooming this breed and what they do if a dog is too hard to handle. These methods are how I found a great groomer for Henri, she is really good with him and I'm always satisfied with the results :) |
Alora is totally right... google, google, google. Then once you've narrowed it down, go there and visit. Listen to your intuition when you're visiting... really try to get a VIBE for the place. Good Luck! Let us know how you make out! |
