Most of the mushrooms that grow in the yard here in TX are poison. I comb the yard most mornings,if it has been raining or I have watered the yard. So glad that your baby is ok. |
We have them up here too! I'm forever scouring the grass after rain and telling Enzo to drop it if he finds it first! He sticks his little snout so far down into the grass, I can't even see them from the service! Like a little piggy searching for truffles! :( |
I would like to keep this thread alive. Perhaps it will save someone some anguish over an unknown "illness" with a pup. |
Just want to remind everyone about the slugs, snails and such that seem to grow into giants with the rainy weather. They look like a tasty treat to a dog so be sure to watch for them as well. A slug can also cause real problems for you babies. |
This is a great post. I will def patrol my yard now!! |

Oh good grief! This morning's patrol netted probably close to 1000 teeny tiny little mushrooms! Luckily, Tuffy is a silly boy & has decided not to venture far off the patio when the ground is wet. |
Every year we get those huge flat mushrooms that resemble a frizbee. Hope she never gets hold of one of those. She would totally not listen. |
