One or two?? Hi. I had a yorkie who passed away awhile ago unexpectedly. I'll will be getting a yorkie sometime soon from a breeder:) My question is, Do you think its better to get two at the same time? My thought was they already knew each other and they would already be bonded? Or do you think its better to get one and then another later? ....OR is there no difference? Thanks!! :aimeeyork:) |
I always like getting my pups in pairs, not always same litter or breed but they have a friend to play with when I am busy and allows them to learn from each other, mouthing and manners. It allows them wrestle time without my hand being part of the toy. Plus the live to cuddle and sleep together. My pups always seem happier in pairs. I currently have four dogs. Two large 12 year olds different breeds, and my two little puppies 9 months and 16 weeks. |
We have two basset hound sisters that we got when they were 16 weeks old. They are totally bonded. As I've been told the only problem you can have when you get two puppies from the same litter is if there is any defect in the bloodline they both my have the same problem. Our basset hounds are both highly allergic to the rabbies vac. They both are exempt. My friend has two shih tzus who both have the same vision and liver problems, So you have to be careful. |
