Priscilla's first trip to Lowes 4 Attachment(s) Until last week I had no idea that dogs were allowed in Lowes. So me and my mom went to Lowes to get some flowers for our flower beds. Priscilla had so much fun, and she only barked once and terrified a man walking in front of us. What are some other places you take your dogs and have you ever been found out? Priscilla had so much fun sniffing flowers! |
I've brought my girls just about everywhere. Places they're welcomed & allowed officially are office supply stores, home supply, pet supply, department & clothing stores--pretty much anyplace without food . I also bring the 2 of them to restaurants & grocery stores together (they're small) in a carrying bag that's plain brown & looks like a gym bag, keeping them zipped up the whole time. They love staying in their bag, often riding in the grocery cart, & they never make a peep. They also can fly together for one price in this bag. I know many on here really like their expensive bags but this brown vinyl one I bought 9 years ago for maybe $20 has served me well! |
I take my two to Lowes too! All the employees are always petting then! I think it's a great place to socialize them! |
She looks like she had fun ! I should try taking my pups to local stores and see what type of response I get. We don't venture out very often. |
Looks like Priscilla had a good time. I didn't know about Lowe's allowing dogs. |

I also had no idea dogs were allowed in Lowes! My only problem is that Callie and crew all believe they need to be front and center, not in a carrier or bag! That is good to know though! :) |
We take Milo to Lowe's all the time. I asked the mgr of Home Depot if they allowed small dogs on a leash or hand held. He replied "no" rather nastily. Needless to say, all my business & it is quite a lot, now goes only to Lowe's. They are all so sweet in there & like you said, they just pet & love on Milo. it is a great place to socialize them. I also went to one of our Verizon stores & the mgr there asked me to please bring him in---she wanted to love on him. |
Some Lowes will not allow dogs. Staples near me does not allow dogs except service dogs. I've heard some say they had problems with Target. Often depends upon if they have had a bad experience with a dog that did not behave well - ruins it for the rest of us. |
She looks adorable riding in that cart! |
Awe soo cute! I love her little dress. |
1 Attachment(s) I take mine everywhere too, except the grocery store. I bought a cart cover like the one on the picture below. I like it because it came with a clip to secure them in the cart. You hook it to the cart and also to their harness so they don't accidently fall out. |
My pups go everywhere with us... they are well traveled :) Places that don't mind dogs in our area are: -Lowes -Home Depot -Bed Bath and Beyond -Any garden center -Clothing stores Basically any place that does not have food (around here) don't mind us coming in with our pups. We are of course always carrying them or have them in the Kwigy Bo with their heads popped out. |
She so cute :) I try to take Toby out, he likes to go to Starbucks with me after our walks on the railtrail for a bit of whip-cream ;) Then to a local pet store where the ladies make over him and yesterday their groomer cut his "cry lines" and around his eyes for free :) My friend brought her dog to our Panera in a doggie purse so I might have to try that too :) |
She is so cute and I love the dress. |
She looks adorable. Glad she had fun |
I usually have at least one dog with me. I just keep a bag or sling in the car for unexpected stops. If I have to go to the grocery store I put them in an enclosed bag and they're fine otherwise I let them look around. As for asking permission, I don't. If they don't want us ther I assume they'll tell me. As they say, It's easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission.;) |
