Welcome to YT. After falling in love with some of my friends' Yorkies, I decided to look around on this site to determine if a Yorkie would be a good fit for me & my DH. I learned sooo much & am still learning today. Three months ago, I decided to "bite the bullet" & adopt my precious little boy, Milo. We couldn't be happier with one another! You have definitely come to the right place. |
Hello and Welcome to YorkieTalk! This is a great place to learn, while you are preparing for your new little one. :) |
Hello and welcome to YT. There is a lot of wonderful information here. Check out the YTCA website of reputable breeders. Ask a lot of questions also. |
Welcome.......great to have you. You have come to the right place. :D |
OMG!!! Thank you all! This is by far the most accepting forum I have come across...guess i'll put my feet up and get cumfy :) I have narrowed my breeders down to three potential 1. Edgewood Kennels 2. OOh LA LA Yorkies 3. Northern Virginia Yorkies I'm taking things slow so this list may change. If anyone has any experience with either breeder please share your experience I would love to hear it. Again, thank you all for the warm welcome. |
Thank you all! |

Welcome to YT and I hope your search for a sweet little baby is quick. Keep us posted. We will love the updates on your progress. |
Make sure when looking for a breeder that they do health testing, they keep the pups with mom until 12 weeks, that the females they are breeding are not under 5 pounds, that there breeding yorkies that follow the standard, they don't use the word teacup or micro and they will let you see where the pups are living and the parents. |
