yeah its pretty horrific but people who buy from pet stores or puppy mills need to know the conditions in which they force these babies to live.

Thank you for the link, terribly sad though the pictures are. This needs to be plastered over the media so that the puppy buying public can see what cruelty they are supporting. I cannot see how they can stay in business, are there no laws??

Laws aren't enforced, or they aren't strong enough. I think I read about BYB's and puppymills on the ASPCA site that even if the places are reported, they move to another place and start over. Laws need to be changed to limit how many dogs can live on a property, and then that law needs enforced. I was looking at who in my state government would be a person to contact about a law change when I decided to take a break and look at YT for a bit and saw this thread.

That tool is a giant step in the right direction! The general public may know that puppymills are bad, but they don't really know what the conditions are like for the poor souls living in them. I hope this tool gets more people to stand against puppymills. I think it will. :) Thanks for linking it!

I have gone on record many times stating it is a hopeless case to try to irradicate puppymills by attacking or going after the puppy mills themselves. I have communicated this to the SPCA, as well as legislators in many States. You must eliminate their source of distrubition, ie pet stores, flea markets, etc. When there are no more places where puppy mills can peddle their dogs, they will cease to exist. It is encouraging to FINALLY see that perhaps this idea has actually taken root!!!!!!

Great link. Thank you so much for putting this up. I sent them the information on three stores that sell puppies in my area that were not on their list.
I am so happy that they are fighting to get these puppy mills shut down. Too many sick dogs that come from mills, not to mention all the heartaches people suffer when they un-knowingly buy a puppy from a pet store. I pray how soon everyone will know the dark side of these horrible puppy mills and pet store that sell puppies from them.
